Even more obvious is this. Not only has the impact of automation all but wiped out manufacturing jobs, it has taken a toll on administrative and management jobs to the point of remarkable shrinkage in entry to mid-level jobs that formerly required a completed bachelors or masters level education.
So this warrants much thought and deliberation on the efficacy of innovation for a sustainable growth economy.
If there is much short term gain to be made in replacing and or automating functions with artificial intelligence because, essentially they require no wages, no healthcare, no discriminatory and abusive labor practices to worry about, then what pray tell will happen to would be consumers (of whom the vast majority moonlight as employees) who will have no job and no income to pay for said products and services?!?!?!?!?!?!
Remember, government handouts in the form of a guaranteed minimum income or universals basic income is deemed a liberal assault on the conservatively American way.
LOL
We can do this all day Ms. Sherry.
