Just Another Awful Thing To Say And Do
Totally inept when it comes to the type of leadership, intelligence, and empathy required and expected for the position he was elected to. I believe it is called malfeasance in public office or gross misconduct.
And still Congress has not been able to issue a simple rebuke or censure for such unpresidential behavior. This at a minimum would be self-correcting but doing nothing is enabling.
Meanwhile the national media ignores or glosses over such gross misconduct in the afterglow of wildfires raging across the federal government’s sustainable and ecological resources located in the state of California.
For Brian K. Rice, the president of the California Professional Firefighters to make a clarifying statement rather than a terse rebuke makes the president’s incompetence with governance seem more like a common misunderstanding. 😐😑 It’s NOT.
The president’s message attacking California and threatening to withhold aid to the victims of the cataclysmic fires is ill-informed, ill-timed and demeaning to those who are suffering as well as the men and women on the front lines.
Wildfires are sparked and spread not only in forested areas but in populated areas and open fields fueled by parched vegetation, high winds, low humidity and geography,”
Moreover, nearly 60 percent of California forests are under federal management, and another two-thirds under private control. It is the federal government that has chosen to divert resources away from forest management, not California.”
Even the tepid retort to the president’s gaucherie suggests that this might be a forgivable gaffe🤔. Nah bruh!🤨
Now will he apologize and be empathetic to those who have lost their lives, those who lost their worldly possessions, and possibly their spirit and fortitude maybe? Will he apologize for insulting the firefighters or the state of California for that matter?
Of course not.
When will we however, stop making these costly mistakes.
Non-stupid people always underestimate the damaging power of stupid individuals. In particular non-stupid people constantly forget that at all times and places and under any circumstances to deal and/or associate with stupid people always turns out to be a costly mistake. — Carlo M. Cipolla
