Marley K., what you and Seheho are both aptly describing in certain people is something quite dangerous to any society — then and now or near and far. When people are indfferent like that it usually accompanies this callousness and apathy. I don’t think they even know the consequential extent of what ‘not giving a damn’ has brought on to their psyche and well-being, motivations and spirit.
This uncaring, callousness of indifference to our interdependence is as dangerous a trait as being stupid, which is the most dangerous trait of them all.
The thing is, the socioeconomics of our existence would be much better off if indifference wasn’t a thing.
