Sherry, what you have displayed here is normative which is the opposite of what we are used to seeing and that is this “inappropriate affect” which is an actual clinical term for an emotion that does not fit the circumstance. Both sad and mad are appropriate affects to have towards this situation.

That even the jurors were dissociative of emotion recognition during deliberations is quite troubling to say the least. But it appears we are being acculturated or indoctrinated into being racially insensitive.

Not feeling anything is also an inappropriate affect and does not absolve the individual or group from having been affected by this context-inappropriate behavior. With all this situational knowledge it is absolutely obvious that we are inundated by the motivated ignorance.
