They Keep Saying That Nothing Like This Happens In Their Communities Not Knowing That No Where In America Is Safe From Gun Violence

This is exactly what bucolic entropy looks and feels like

In Dayton, Assistant Chief of Police Matt Carper said the shooting began at about 1:07 a.m. EDT and involved a “very short timeline of violence” before the attacker was killed. He said the gunman appeared to have acted alone in the trendy stretch of bars and restaurants.

“Downtown Dayton is a very safe area,” Carper said. “This is unheard of and very sad. It’s a very tragic evening.”

Nan Whaley, the Mayor of Dayton, Ohio stated that the shooter who is white wore body armor and was armed with a high capacity rifle with extra magazines, and of the victims killed 6 were black and one his own sister.

Gun violence is entropic to America. It doesn't matter how safe your downtown, your uptown, you cul de sac, your gated, your enclave, your city, or suburb has been. The carnage from what feels like a state of order can turn in a moment with having the right to bear arms being the only prerequisite for the ongoing spates of gun violence.

“A day that would’ve been a normal day for someone to leisurely go shopping, turned into one of the most deadly days in the history of Texas. Lives were taken who should still be with us today. Twenty innocent people from El Paso have lost their lives, and more than two dozen more are injured,” Texas Governor Greg Abbott said at an evening press conference.

Update from the EPPD presser this morning: the DA states that Texas is an open carry state. Shooter was operating 100% legally by carrying the weapon into the store until he open fired.

Not even your shopping malls your strip malls or recreational areas are safe or devoid of entropy arising from hatred and its motivated ignorance upon us.

“The ultimate purpose of life, mind, and human striving: to deploy energy and information to fight back the tide of entropy and carve out refuges of beneficial order.” — Steven Pinker

I guess we are waiting for maximum entropy to occur for our way of life here (which will be too late) where incivility will be a new normalized disorder far worse than in the days of the wild west before we induce our government to expend some energy to stave off the combustible instability they have created with gun rights or mitigate it in its entirety, the prevalence of gun violence across the nation.
