What you are saying is what any rational human being would say with the kind of self-awareness that criminal stupidity lacks. That sort of humanity you exhibit is of self-awareness. This has less to do with your inherent racial membership, and more to do with your lack of motivated ignorance and insensitive beliefs.( I know I sound like a broken record, but so does the truth)
Sherry, presenting a self-awareness (without hesitation) that this existential nightmare of a socially constructed and flawed system of institutions which determines cultural fitness solely on the basis of class, race, and creed — is an acknowledgement to unsolicited subscriptions to whiteness. That very same whiteness that in the recent past has sought to exclude Jewish, Irish and Italians have coalesced into a much bigger fraudulent enterprise of privilege seeking, unearned entitlement and avarice.
White is a political and economic category. The history of whiteness demonstrates this. Groups have been integrated into whiteness as it was politically useful for rulers to do so. The Irish didn’t used to be white, nor the Italians. Non-whites have, at various times, been allowed to buy their way into the white race, with their progeny enjoying white-skin privilege. The only people who could never be white were blacks — this has always been the defining quality of whites.
