This Is Exactly What Trump Supporters Voted For
We Shouldn’t Be Too Surprised By This
When Trump became aware of the incivility here, Which group do you think he instinctively sided with?
There were formal statements that the President read from a podium, at his Golf resort in Bedminster, NJ, in response to the Governor’s state of emergency declaration moments later which were deemed “a step in the right direction” by many news media outlets.
“We condemn in the strongest possible terms this egregious display of hatred, bigotry, and violence, on many sides. On many sides. It’s been going on for a long time in our country,” — President Donald Trump
On many sides. Actually, hatred, bigotry and violence, has historically and predominantly on record, comes from one side. A side that contextually initiated a white nationalist rally in protest of and to air grievances over the removal of a statue of Confederate General Robert E. Lee, in defense of the symbolism it represented for them in anti-politically correct terms.
“I love the people of our country,” Trump said. “I love all of the people of our country. We’re going to make America great again, but we’re going to make it for all of the people of the United States of America,”
Trump loves his loyal supporters and he only plans to make America great again (dog whistle understood) for them with their help at rallies and at the polls. Now there is a question about whether the President’s characterizations were fair in light of representation of white supremacist and alt-right nationalists groups who refuse to accept and respect the rights of minority groups. But to beg this question seems to suggest that these groups have a right to reject the rights of fellow minority citizens as well as non-minority citizens ( let’s call them counter-protestors) who disagree with their first amendment subterfuge — that their rights by their own definitions and by institutional privilege supersedes the rights of others.

It would be irrational for us to believe that the president would do the politically correct thing by denouncing this group, which would seem meaningless to me even if he did without following up such verbiage with action. Furthermore, it is inconceivable for the President to shed his guiltless and shameless thinking at this point, because like those very same protestors, Trump’s character too is disordered and disturbed.
