What Are They Planning To Do With US

This administration has withdrawn from the Paris Accord, the Iran Nuclear Deal, the Trans Pacific Pact, and by appearance its close ties with longstanding Western European allies, and it is now poised to withdraw from the United Nations Human Rights Council. This is an all out effort to undermine the institution of multilateralism that pursues peaceful humanitarian resolutions to many of the world’s conflicts.

The recent pbs news hour report published on pbs.org a short time ago is nothing but confirmation that this hegemonic administration has gone off the rails in trying to Make America Great Again. We have simply become a rogue super power. It presents an entirely unprecedented dilemma in U.S. foreign diplomacy and domestic affairs which are intricately interwined in a nation of immigrants.

Officials say Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley will deliver the verdict on the U.N. Human Rights Council in a joint appearance at the State Department on Tuesday. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to publicly preview the decision.

Haley threatened the pull-out last year, citing longstanding U.S. complaints that the 47-member council is biased against Israel. But Tuesday’s announcement also comes just a day after the U.N. human rights chief denounced the Trump administration for separating migrant children from their parents.

It is more than just shameful to sit back, watch and learn how the Trump administration — our government, is consenting to human rights abuses by separating children from their parents and caging them in detention camps as a deterrent against illegal immigration. Due process is an afterthought in lieu of the mental and physical punishment inflicted on the victims of political and racial abuse by this administration which has already laid guilt on those who may lawfully immigrate to the U.S. after all.

This absurdly profound governance is disheartening and beyond the pale of civility and humanity. There has been little to no appetite from Congress to curb these transgressions thus far. The electorate has shown little in the way of compassion for our fellow man, woman, and child. The media complex has reduced journalism to political slant jockeying. We have devolved into an intolerable state.

That and the fact that we are being led by an egomaniacal authoritarian whose capricious attitude and behavior is predicated on a lack of deference to his aura as president of the United States put us in a moral and ethical bind with consequences.

It is now a world ruled under the auspices of despotism and you should be afraid of what will come about from this deglobalizing turn of events deriving from our own country.
